Now my hair is highlighted ( highlight is beige blond and my natural hair color is medium brown) if i want to change my hair color completely to golden blonde will my existing highlighted hair damage or no?

when ever you dye your hair you always inflict damage. so it will get damaged, i dont know how much, it depends on how healthy your hair is at the moment.

It will be fine if you are careful and follow the directions on the coloring... just be sure to watch your timing and don't leave it on over the allowed time! Also, it would be a good idea to have some conditioning treatments afterwards and a good trim too! Just don't keep overprocessing your hair too many times, it will get damaged from all the chemicals! The integrity of previously lightened hair (your highlights) can be jeopardized by applying color over them. I certainly wouldn't recommend it. I might suggest having your hairdresser do a heavy foil on you to give your hair a much lighter overall appearence. It's far more natural looking and grows out better than permanent color.

Yes it will. It's already been damaged/dyed by the highlights, and you're double-damaging/dying them.

You need to leave 6 weeks in between dyeing or highlighting hair - if the highlights were put in over 6 weeks ago you will be fine. Any colour you put on your hair will damage it over time and it is best to use kits that use natural ingredients and use a good conditioner. I have dyed my hair for years and it always looks shiny and healthy

Anytime we do a chemical treatment to our hair it is damaging. Doubling up too much can be extremely damaging. If it has been a good while since you had highlights you should be fine. There are hair products that you can use before and after to help keep your hair healthy. You should find a professional hair stylist to see what your best options are. I personally use K-pak from Beauty brands because I highlight my hair and occasionally perm it. I believe you get what you pay for when it comes to hair stylist and products.

No it will not damage the highlighted hair, if you ever decide to put bleach highlights over it again you WILL damage so make sure you know which choice you want cause you cant go back

dyeing hair always does a little damage but if your going to dye your whole hair you no the highlighted hair will still be there you will not get the same colour all over

I just actually done that. I have been dying my hair dark brown( natrual dark blonde) for a few years. The other day i decided to let my sister give me some highlights well it overpowered my hair and my whole hair was actually the color of the highlights wich was kinda orange anyways i put a dark ash blonde on them and I was left with dark ash blonde hair and a couple of low lights from the starting hair color, I love it The only damage was the highlights themselves and after i colored them it actually gave them a vibrant healthy color rather than hair thats looks washed out from bleach. but it will take bleaching your other hair (brown ones) to get an all over golden blonde. And if you bleach the highlights they will damage but youll have a few healthier strands! Just depends on how bad you want it. You could frost it through a cap and then do an all over color to save some strands.
