Does anyone know of a hair dye that is kind to your hair.?

I want to permanently keep my hair a sort of pinky/plum red. The dye I have used has turned it orange (I am a yellow blond). I would love a dye that is kind to your hair that will dye it sort of plum red, nor orangey red. There are a lot of dyes that contain either bleach or amonia. Some of them don't admit to this till you have bought and opened the packet. So any advice would be welcome.

Or any types to avoid!

Thanks

Red dye is the hardest to create and maintain. If this is your first time dying your hair this colour, I suggest you see a stylist, at least for this dye, especially as you have already dyed your hair once, and further dying can be very damaging. I also reccommend you invest in a very good conditioning treatment. Darker dyes are less likely to use as much ammonia, but most dyes use similar chemicals to ensure that it actually alters the chemical composition of your hair. The Garnier lines seem to be fairly kind to hair, and usually don't damage mine that much. If you want your hair to be lighter, then the dye will definately have bleach or ammonia in it.

IT's NOT DYE... IT'S COLOR. YOU DYE YOUR CLOTHES AND COLOR YOUR HAIR!!! Report It

Henna is bad for your hair, and almost everyone's hair has gold and red undertones. Report It

henna - it's completely natural and dyes hair red. If you have a Lush near you - they sell it in different shades.
