I have natural light blonde hair with highlights. I decided I wanted to be dark and now I have black hair and I hate it. I have blond roots which looks ridiculous !! I read in an Allure magazine that beer and lemon juice will strip the color but it never said what it would do after that. I need help

you have to go to the salon for that. Ask the stylist for a tint-back...a tint-back is when a hair stylist try to match your natural color. Good luck. Don't do the lemon jucie and beer...it's really BS

Beer won't do anything to the color. Some people use it like conditioner. Lemon juice may lighten it a little, but it won't remove the black. Get professional help.

I've used beer in my hair because it supposedly gives it more shine. Beer doesn't ruin your hair. Lemon juice supposedly attracts the sun to your hair, giving it highlights. The only thing that strips your hair is bleach. If you want to go back to blond, go to the salon and have them strip your hair and they can die it back. It's very hard on your hair though.

it will strip the color but it will SERIOUSLY dry out your hair.
