You are not supposed to, because no one knows the true effects of hair dye as well as tanning during pregnancy. I dyed my hair twice during my pregnancy once at 20 weeks and once at like 30 weeks.

Mine dyed normally, some womans hormones can cause the dye to be lighter, darker or a complelelty different shade than what they wanted.

I am 39 wks+ and I already dyed my hair twice. Once with semi permanent and once with permanent color..it's perfectly fine. Just make sure you don't close the bathroom doors and so on...get some air in there cause those fumes are kinda strong.
