Help...any hair coloring experts on here...?

I decide to highlight my light brown hair...wanted to get light blond highlights. It didn't work. So, I dyed my hair a darker color...thinking it would cover it up. Well, it did but my hair is nearly black. I used Clairol Herbal Essences. I called the 800 number they said to go to a salon. But all the salons are closed now. I want to fix it now...does anyone know what would work?

Grab some dish soap from the kitchen (not the kind for your dish washer) and start washing your hair with it. It will slowly strip the color. You might need to wash it a few times tonight but it will fade, then tomorrow go to a salon.

ok go to salon when its open and let them help you!!

id definitly try clairol nattural instincts in either dark brown or natural black. they always cover the follicle completely, and you wont ever see any fading.

dont dye your hair anymore!! It might start thinning on you. (seriously)

deep condition your hair then buy a hair color with a lighter shade than you want because the hair is already really dark. Deep condition again after you dye your hair to prevent damage.

Well you can buy strippers and now they have some that aren't so hard n your hair. But Clairol stuff does wash out over time some it will lightin up. and if you have already highlighted it and then colored it again you need to ALEAST wait a week before you do anything
