I have light brown hair color that goes dark , i would like a sort of dirty blond, is that ok?

i usually have light brown hair that turns a darker brown in the summer. i would like to have lighter hair, like a dirty blonde, is that better or would dark brown highlights with red mixed in be better

My hair usually gets lighter in the summer from being 'bleached' naturally by the sun. This is weird your hair gets darker. Firstly I'd say go with whatever matches your skintone better. I love dark hair but if you have a nice tan from the summer then it sounds like you'd look good either choice you made.

omg dont dye ur hair \dirty blonde if ur hair dark brown. im in 7th grade and last year i decited to dye my hair blond. omfg it looked terible. so my point is if u have dark hair or brown hair. it never looks good blond. if u have blond hair u wouldnt look good with dark hair thats just the way it is. hope i helped out a littel bit!!!

ps. my old haircolor still hasnt got back to my natural color!!!! lol!!

Just make sure this color will look good on you. How to do that? I'm sorry I can't tell... See, about a few months ago I thought: wow, I think a dirty blonde would look good on me, because I have green eyes, light skin, my natural color is light brown/dark blonde, so I dyed my hair into this color (at a salon). And I was wrong... This color washed me out, I looked awful with it. Then I bought really dark brown/almost black hairdye and dyed my hair. Know what - I look amazing now. And nobody can't believe that it's not my natural haircolor (and I'm naturally like a blonde, and now I'm brunette! :D). So just be careful and think will this color look good on you?! I don't know how you can decide that... Even a hairstylist was wrong when she offered me to go dirty blonde... :/ Well, I was better than her and now have a nice haircolor :D
