Any suggestions on doing highlites & lowlites @home. Dont mind spending more for good product. D

I have dark brown hair midlength. It is pretty healthy. I have blond highlights and very dark brown lowlights. I love the look but I cant afford to get it done professionally right now. I just need help getting the hightlights blond. I dont know the best home product. I dont want any red so I need some good advice. Thanks

i have light brown hair with blond highlights, i use several different products, depending on what i actually want to do, if i want my hair lighter, i use Touch of Sun which is an item you spray in wet hair and use a comb to get the highlights. you can read the box to see if its something that you might like to use, then i use Suave shampoo for blonde's- it brings out the blond highlights, and my natural hair looks like the lowlights with no reddish tint to it.

I have dark brown hair and got my it highlighted professionally because i didn't want to screw up.A kid at my school tried dying his hair by himself and it turned orange instead of blond. He looks like a peach. It really depends on what your head looks like now. 2 inches on the roots looks bad. If you have any friends who know how to do hair, let them do it. Or you could see if there's a local beauty shool who actually pay YOU or do it for free. Otherwise use a cap. Use tweezers to pluck your through the holes. And choose a pro product to dye your har.
