How come dark hair and brown eyes is not handsome anymore?

Back in the 1970s guys with black hair and dark feautures were considered handsome. Take Osmonds for example...girls went crazy for any guy that looked remotely like Donny....blac hair, big brown eyes, etc. Nowadays, men who are blond, blue eyed, and very white are considered attractive by most women, Guys like Brad Pitt and David Backam might have not been considered good looking in 1970s. But after 1980s blond guys and those with light features gained the upper hand. Do you think this is true? If so, why?

i believe you have a point, i think when all you're looking for is a boyfriend(not a life mate), you have the freedom to exchange boys the way you do clothes. Some clothes go out of style, and @ this time dark guys have in a way gone out of style. but if you aren't superficial you won't care about what someone looks like. usually people who are superficial just want a little arm candy or benefits. be careful of those.
